Okay I’m not one for leaving cars sitting without driving them but my 2000 Grand Prix has been sitting for 2 months now without being driven. Maybe even 3 months. I was wondering if this is long enough for the oil to sludge up inside of the engine and me to have some problems out of it.

I wouldn’t imagine it would be you could make sure the cars E break was locked and the car was in neutral and turn the crank manually making sure for some odd ball reason the engine didn’t sieze. I’m sure it wouldn’t hurt to change the oil.

The best thing to do is to take the vehicle for a short drive every week or two. This will charge the battery and oil up the engine parts. Drive enough to bring the water temperature up to normal.

I’ve visited the big city where in parking garages people have rented permanent stalls where very fancy vehicles are stored. Many of these vehicles exhibit a coating of dust that could only accumulate over months or maybe years – not good.

Alright guys thanks! I bought a truck that uses the same battery as my car, so when I switched the battery over to my truck I never put it back in my car. I only have the one battery between the two vehicles. I need to buy another so I can just rotate driving the car and truck so neither one sits.
