Car shuts off when shifting out of Park

just rebuilt 1999 Cadillac Seville 4.6l and replaced transmission w/ rebuilt one , replaced neutral safety switch , runs good but when I try and shift from park to gears ,engine shuts off, and just cranks in neutral wont start .. only in park

I dont know if you have to program the ECU to the new tranny, but you might have to being OBD-II an all.
