Car cover

Hi i just bought a Bogart italian car cover, its made of PVC and its breathable and water resistant (as told by the shop assistant). I used it today, so far so good, it rained alot and no water made it to the front and back of the car as far as i can see(i cant see the roof). Do you suggest i put a sheet or something soft on the roof and bonnet before putting the cover on ? So to prevent scratches. also will the humidity of the morning affect the cover also ?

As for security, i put 2 bungee cords from the front of the cover to the control arms and 2 bungee cords from the back of tge cover to tge rear axle. Also i roped it in the middle also
