      Hi Guys,

I put on a new set of Winter tires on my Forester back in October and while getting it serviced for a recall I was told I have uneven wear on my tires and that my alignment is off. My question is, if/when my car is aligned will the wear on the tires correct itself over time or are the tires ruined for next winter? The uneven wear is not noticable when looking at the tires and 90%(if not more) of the tread still remains.

Once rubber has been removed it can’t be brought back.

…yes. However, will the wear on the tire become even again or will the tire always have uneven wear?

It will only even out if it was in the middle. It will try and flatten out. If it was on the sides
the sides will always be lower.
