Problem I’m having is when either of fans (AC or cooling) are on my rpms drop to about 200 then goes up to 1100 then back down then up constantly till the fans turn off..goes back to proper idle… But once they turn on it does it again over and over again.

I tried changing iac valve , battery, checked relays and nothing.

But today I tested the voltage on the AC fan when it was on and it only read 6.4 volts. Could it possibly be that my fans are taking more current then it should be? Or a bad alternator? I just don’t know where to go next there’s no check engine light so it’s kinda a guessing game for me

      Any help is much appreciated..

OK I have 3 fan relays so i tested the one that was clicking when the AC fan came on. I even unplugged the relay to confirm it was that one witch cause the fan to turn off so I took a reading and it read 12.5 volts at the relay…

Check the a/c idle-up valve/hoses. Turning a/c on should energize valve. Since its connected to vacuum hoses it may be opening up vacuum leak which in turn causes IAC to compensate.

If you measured 6v across the ac fan when a/c on then the other 6v would be across the rad fan.

              hi there .
check your water temp sensor ,possibly replace it.
most of the time just clean them out with wire wheel.
if you can get cheap one replace it.
