Hey so my names Andrew Oster..let me start by saying ive fixed at least 30 things thanks to your videos..and i greatly appreciate it. Im currently in the middle of replacing the spark plug tube seals underneath my camshaft assembly. (thanks to your video)No issues with removal or the o rings themselves at all. I did make the mistake of using a cheap $30 walmart torque wrench and snapping one of the front longer 12mm bolts into the head. So my issue is getting the broken part out of there. ALSO because im a jerkoff, i tried to get a little dent in it with a holepunch and the ~1/8 of an inch tip broke and fell into the pool of oil underneath my camshaft. Can you tell me how to resolve this issue please. I am completely flustered now and all logical thinking has ran from my brain. I greatly appreciate the help.

1994 honda accord LX..2.2 non vtec auto. Probably like 180k miles. Ive had it for 11 months and have done pretty extensive work to it with erics vids and it runs great besides the tube seals i just replaced and now obviously this issue because i bought that stupid torque wrench.

In the picture its the second from the left. And the little piece of the holepunch fell directly below it into the oil in the inner well.

With that problem you might need to take it to a machine shop. Otherwise.

          For pictures.

Hate to say it but I did the same thing to my Avalon. I didn’t have a torque wrench that could go low enough (89 inlbs or 7.5 ftlbs)I have one now. My issue was it was on a V6 on the rear bank and I couldnt get to it with anything that I had at my disposal. I hope the video helped you out as you should be able to get to the bolt. Mine ended up with a trip to the mechanic and a steep bill with a new head gasket and machine shop charge to remove the broken bolt. Also just an FYI that torque wrench may be in foot pounds and you likely need inch pounds. My valve cover bolts needed 89 inlbs.

For the tip of the broken punch get a magnet reach tool to find it. It is likely made of steel and will stick to the end. Good luck and stay dirty.

If you do t have the skill set to drill and extract or helicoil fasteners I would stop now and call a local mechanic.
