I have a 2004 Chrysler Sebring 2.7 LXi that I recently got with 94k miles. At the moment, it’s at somewhere close to 96.3k, and the 3000 mile warranty that came with the car is soon to run out. Before it does run out, I want to have the water pump replaced, because I know that these 2.7 motors do have a bad design. My question is, how much should this job cost? Would I be better suited to have it done at a dealer or an independent shop?
Also as a side question, whenever I come to a stop in the car, it acts like a manual transmission that’s about to stall out and the revs drop, but a second later they pick right back up. I’ve seen about a million different possible causes for the issue, but have any of you Chrysler techs seen this issue before?
Thanks,
Keith :silly:
