HI All,
Greeting from Ireland. I am searching many forums and discussions on this topic.
I will be carrying our some brake maintenance on my 2009 Toyota Auris which will of course involve changing the brake pads. As part of this I want to clean and re-lube the guide pins as part of this.
I am looking at two particular products and also the named Toyota ‘Brake Caliper Grease’ which i believe is just red rubber grease. I would like to know the communities thoughts and experiences please and thanks.
1. CRC Silaramic Brake Grease 05361
2. Permatex Silicone Ceramic Extreme Brake Parts Lubricant 80653
3. Toyota ‘Brake Caliper Grease’
I guess the main points to cover are:
Which is friendly to the rubber boots of the guide pins
Which is water resistant
Which has a higher temp rangeMany thanks in advance.
