I’ve decided it’s time to update my truck. I have alot of things on my list, many exterior, many interior as well. Exhaust is near the top of the list. I want it to be just a bit louder than stock, with a deep rumbling sound. I like the deep sound that glasspacks produce, but I’m worried about excessive volume. I’ve read that if I get one about 30″ long, it won’t be very loud at all. Is this true? If not, any suggestions on quieter, but similar sounding mufflers?

Something else I will need some help with is my audio system. I do not want to drop ALL the money on a touchscreen head unit, so I’m looking at mounting a tablet (leaning towards an Android, but I’d make due with an iPad if it makes things easier somehow) in place of the radio. I’ve seen mightycarmods show how to do it, and I will likely follow their instructions when it comes to the electronics. Where I’m stuck is with making it look like it belongs there. This truck has a single DIN, and tablets happen to be double DIN at their smallest. A 10 inch tablet would be ideal and I need it to look like it belongs there. I’ll probably get a second bezel to experiment on. Should I just dremel it out until the tablet fits? What about removable solutions? I worry about the sun shining on it, and theft. Plus, it’d be nice to take it with me sometimes. I’ve seen some crazy trapdoors and spring loaded stuff on youtube but no idea how to fabricate that. My abilities pretty much end at cutting up the existing bezel, which is why I’m asking for help. Any ideas?
