      Hi all,
I finally managed to fix my break issues after replacing pads, rotors(maintenance), then changed left caliper and today did the right one and bleed the system twice.
Now pedal feels great and I am very happy with it.

Now I noticed two odd things,
first is the left caliper was replaced about 2 weeks ago and now there is discoloration on the metal. These pictures look like painted or something but could this be because of break fluid? I didnt clean the caliper after installing and My guess is its just break fluid that has been heated, good or bad guess?

2nd, the same caliper hose seem to be very tight… I didnt noticed this when I installed it… The bolt that holds it in place is there so I dont really understand. Should I worry about this?
Of course I dont want it to just break. But I also really dont want to mess with it if I dont have to.

      Here are the pictures.
      Thanks

Both calipers are reman by ProStop ( Pepboys in house ) Lifetime warranty for 30 bucks, seem like good quality , remaned in USA.

It looks like something is wrong… Note the “clean spot” on your bracket.

Possibly the bracket for the left side is on the right side… and/or the banjo end on the line attaching to the caliper is installed wrong…

It does look too tight… once again… something does look wrong… I would re-look at it…

          Thanks fore reply,
I forgot to add that I did NOT change the bracket on either caliper. as my pistons and bushings didnt look so good.
I havent lost ANY breakfluid in 2 weeks so I dont think there is any soft of leaks.

I figured I probely twisted the hose a little when putting the bolt in , I did it on weekday after school.
Will do the job over weekend.

          Thanks

Looking at it I think you got the hose installed incorrectly. As for the discoloration I believe that’s normal. You have to consider that brakes turn speed into heat. Therefore brakes create a lot of heat and as a result metal becomes discolored.

You might not have to remove the brake line. You may be able to remove the caliper, turn it over and reinstall it to get the hose positioned correctly. You can use the pics ToyotaKarl posted to get it right.

Keep us posted on your progress.
