Just wondering if there’s any major differences between those ac gauges? Did some research but didn’t find a definite answer. So which do you prefer? Hopefully I get an answer before I order a set. T.I.A!

🙂 Hello, Aluminum gauges are the standard for most measuring of gaps. In the 70’s , there was a need to measure the gap on the early HEI ignition distributors and a Brass Gauge was required. There may still be a need for measuring a gap with no electrical interference and this may be why they are on the market. I would purchase both if possible, as you never know when you may need a brass gauge.

I ended up ordering an aluminum gauge set by mastercool. I hope it’s long lasting. Should arrive tomorrow.
