Brakes issue

Hi i have a lada samara 1.3 1989 and i have a bit of issue with the brakes. Brakes stop fine but they are a bit hard to press. Also when i press the brake pedal and release it, it releases slowly not instantly. I replaced the brake booster check valve seal because it was raptured. With engine off if i keep my foot on the pedal and start the engine it goes down as normal. Also when i bleed the brakes and pump them, i hear whuff whuff sound like air is escaping i hear it from under the dash area, any ideas ?

you may want to use a vacuum hand pump on the booster to see if you are holding vacuum

I dont have a pump but when i turn off the vehicle oedal comes hard instantly. Its supposed to have atleast one easy push right ?

Check valve is working i tested it

It should not harden up instantly.

Brakes harden instantly, i replaced check valve because i had a spare one still same issue, the pedal returns instantly with the engine off so i think its a booster issue thats why it does it only with engine running
