Hi I was watching an ETCG video and one of the steps was to clamp the brake line so fluid is not pushed back into the brake line when you compress the Caliper. WHY???

      PS
I did search forum first before asking.

      Thanks

      Robert

you dont need to do that, only do that if you dont want to bleed the brakes.
clamping the hose is only so that air doesnt go back into the system but i think if you do anything to the brakes you might aswell bleed them too.

actually clamping the rubber line is so you don’t keep
losing brake fluid. when compressing the caliper piston
open the caliper bleed screw so all the pressure is not
sent back to the master cylinder along with any rust and
          sediment.
