Brake Lines

I think making a video on brake lines might be beneficial to the ETCG masses. Some would say flaring brake line is an acquired art form. Here are some topics ye’ could discuss:

• types of brake line based on metallic composition
• identifying bad brake line & why stop leak aint gonna cut it.
• color coding
• various connectors, sizes, thread and pitch
• adapter brake lines (from one size to another)
• line lengths
• how to bend brake line
• how to properly cut brake line
• inverted flare vs. bubble flare
• using unions as opposed to compression connectors

and most importantly…
How to flare brake line

I’ve actually wanted to do one of these for a while but I wanted to get this cool line flaring tool first. In my experience the better the flare tool the better your chances of making a successful flare that will seal properly. I think a video on flaring would be best on it’s own as to the other suggestions I’ll look into it, to be honest work like that isn’t something that I often do so I’ll want to read up before putting that information together. Thanks for the suggestion.

it’d be cool to compare your cool flaring tool results to the cheap autozone rental flare tool. :stick:
