What screws are you talking about? I don’t think there are any screws holding the caliper on but if you mean the bolts then you will probably need an alen head or torx wrench.
If you are talking about the screws that hold the rotor on, i drill them out if i dont an impact driver handy
Maybe try using some penetrating oil? Or if you can borrow an impact tool from the local parts store?
You will probably either need a male HEX wrench AKA Allen key (the bolt is a female HEX) or a female HEX (the bolt is a male HEX).
You will need an impacting motion (power tool or manual impact driver but probably hard to reach place).
Try giving it some penetrating oil, then whack it with a hammer/blunt chisel, but DO wear goggles. On the left hand side you can try using your jack to push your wrench up – unwinding the bolt (that has worked for me several times). You will need torque – either power or the longest handle tool you can fit (leverage).
But take into account that you might end up with broken bolts – and then you will all of a sudden have a very bad day as a amateur home mechanic.
Don’t know what kind of vehicle you are working on, but if you plan to continue doing work on your own vehicles my suggestion would be to invest in the tool(s) that will get the job done and save you the trip to the repair shop. They’re worth the investment in the long run and usually pay for themselves many times over in the long run. Don’t know how many times I’ve told myself “I’m sure glad I bought that…best investment I’ve ever made” (what ever it was).
