Looking for some solid education books in the topics of diagnosis.

I’m a shade tree mechanic on the side and have done well. Rebuilt motors, transmissions, etc. But I’ve always learned as I went. So if a new problem comes up, I struggle diagnosing it since I’ve never experienced it before, even if it’s easy.

Just looking for a good book that will explain different ways to diagnose various problems, different methods to check those problems, how to read an OBD2 so you get all of the use out of it (fuel trims, o2 readings, etc).

I wouldn’t mind a book on engine building either. Thanks guys.

I’ve got a slew saved on Amazon…but looking for feedback to hopefully not buy books that aren’t worth the paper they are printed on

That’s the way it goes. Several months ago user Fopeano posted either a list or picture(s) of a bunch of the books he’s used or uses. It’s probably in the technicians section. Somewhere, it’s probably buried pretty good.
