Too many variables to answer your question. Depends on the year, make, model, and whether it is Chilton’s, Mitchell’s, or dealership book. For brakes it depends on one wheel, two wheels, front/back, all four wheels. For ball joints, front? rear? one side or both? Upper or lower? Tie rods: ends only? inner? outer? one side or two? Etc, etc…

Pretty fast on my daughter’s go-kart, pretty slow on a Ferrari. More specific info needs more detail.

Brakes are generally about 1.2 per axle for pads and rotors.

A set of 4 tires usually 1.2 and up.

Engine R+R varies way too much depending on model, but don’t be surprised to see over 8hrs.

Outer tie rods are somewhere around .7, inners are a bit more at .8. What a joke.

Of the Balljoint is part of the LCA, r+r on an LCA is usually just over an hour.

That’s what I’ve seen in my experience, actual results may vary.

You know what years ago I worked in a Shop as a beginner and no one would let me know what the book times were for each job. It was like top secret ! Thanks to online and sites ETCG there are no more secrets.

Some of the people responsible for book times should be taken to the woodshed for some enlightenment……. 🙂

A couple of years ago I was looking at the ALLDATA book time for rear wheel bearings on a Toyota Camry.
They showed .9 for one side. Not a problem.

They showed .1 for doing the other side………….

By that logic a mechanic should do one only, run it out the door, and then get a separate repair order to do the other side. 🙂

.1 for the second side. Sounds like a direct pull from the factory time.

Gotta love some of those add .1 for both items. Ok, so the car is already in the shop and in the air, but it still won’t repair itself.
