So. I am a Ford guy at heart, and in my opinion they made the right move by reintoducing the 2002 thunderbird to ressemble a ’57 t-bird. and then again following up with the 2005 mustang to ressemble the late 60’s body style. I really thought Mopar was going to follow the market when they announced the charger, only to have it be a weak 4-door bodystyle, probably an old concept body, with the charger badges, thank god they corrected themselves with the challenger. then Chevrolet, after realizing the mistake they made cancling the camaro, announced the re-release, and in itself looks like an awesome body, but I personally expected it, and hoped it would have ressembled a late 70’s bodystyle myself. the modern musclecar is a big theme lately from adding early-model blocks with highly computerized fuel injection systems, to just having big chrome “import” looking rims on them. Just curious if fords way of design actually produced good sales numbers for them vs. the 4-door charger, and what everybody else thinks on the concept of revised late-model bodystyles on new vehicles. bringing back that certain style that set manufactuers apart in the 60’s through the 80’s before everything started to look the same. Should the big 3 do more late-model bodystyles? whats your take? P.S. I forgot to acknowledge GM’s attempt at the GTO…. nice engineering, months spent on tuning the exhaust to have that good ol’ muscle car sound without effecting emissions/economy but throw it in a sad looking concept body from 2 yrs prior to announcement.
