      Hello ETCG fans,

I am a fellow ETCG viewer and I try to maintain my car all by myself. Because I live in the Netherlands I decided to purchase a BMW e36 because it was really cheap. Anyway a front strut was leaking and I decided to replace it. And the 2 bottom bolts broke and are now stuck inside the kingpin, I was trying to remove the kingpin and I destroyed the ball joint underneath. So now I have to buy a special fork to remove the kingpin from the ball joint. And then I need to buy a tool which will allow me to remove the current ball joint and replace it with a new one. Can anybody recommend me a set of tools to do this? Also once the kingpin is removed I will ask my garage to extract the bolts, will this be costly? Can I also try to extract the bolts by myself? And how can I prevent this from ever happening again?

according to the video the ball joint is integrated
into the control arm and should be replaced as a unit.
