Hello Eric,
first of… keep up the GREAT work you are doing. Love it. 10 Stars.
I am half mechanic half race car driver and lately I am pulling my hair out on my Dodge Magnum…….
After a 25h nonstop run from New Mexico back to Florida all of the sudden near Mobile Alabama my blinkers did something crazy so I pulled to the next Big BOX Car part store and replace my blinker light bulbs but no luck.Symptom:
Front left : DEAD
Rear left : working
Front right : working
Rear right : DEADthis is when I use my blinker…. but with Hazard they all light up just fine. I have a feeling it is the wire been broken somehow but this is where it gets interesting: Fuses all ok so somehow it’s in the cable. Coincidence that both fail at the same time?? Don’t think so I think it’s the same wire harness and the same point but now the question.
What tool can be used to trace just a wire ?? I know there is a line finder and such just don’t know which works best for this way of troubleshooting the follow the line method.
I am thinking of putting like a “ring tone” generator on the blinker bulb and follow it from there back under the car till I loose the signal. Or what else would you recommend?
Thank you
Olaf
