My grandfather has a 2006 Buick Lacrosse CX. I took his vehicle into class a few months back to have the alignment checked and noticed on the ride there that the front end would sway back and forth and overall felt very loose. I suspected struts after seeing the alingment specs. Therefore I didn’t try to align it. A few weeks ago he said he was thinking of selling it because of the looseness and sway despite me telling him the struts were bad. My grandfather is very old fashioned and is tight with his money, I know he won’t pay to have a shop replace them for him.

I looked on AC Delco’s webite and got the part number, then I went to amazon. I noticed the strut was the only part sold and the springs and would have to be bought seperate. I don’t have the right equipment to assemble the struts myself. I was wondering if there are any good aftermarket struts that will give a similar ride quality for $70 to $120 dollars.

I appreicate the answer, I just talked to him and told him I would put them in. Now he wants to a be a tight ass and say there is nothing wrong with the car, it drives fine. Then he told me I was the one who complained about the car being unstable, not him. I asked him when his inspection was due and then he says Febuary, Monroes are the best.
