Battery Corrosion Tip

I dont know if anyone here on the ETCG forum has done this before but when I saw Erics video of on the battery terminals it made we want to share what I do to prevent corrosion.I apply a small amount of grease to the terminals and Ive never had a problem.Thought someone could use this tip.

Amazing how many uses old toothbrushes have around the garage. From cleaning parts,the carb,even cleaning your ac or heater vents.

A trick i have used to remove corrosion on batt terminals is to fill an empty dish detergent container with pipein hot water then with the detergent cap opened squeeze the bottle giving the hot water a pressurized stream this will clean off all that greeness on you re batterry terminals then good idea to coat them with anything that will cut out the oxygen to recorrode you terminals

just be carefull not to get baking soda to lie arround potentially getting in through the vent on the battery it will neutralize the acid renderig you re battery a dudd

After I scrub with baking soda I just pour clean water to rinse the top off. Where is the battery vent? I’ve never had trouble but maybe I’ve just been lucky too.
