      03 cavalier, 195k miles, I hear noise when shifting into drive, and hard accelerations (just to bring the symptoms back) checked joints, and as far as I can diagnose, they seem fine, I was wondering if this seems like too much play. Since my audio isn’t the best, I turned the wheel by hand first (car is in the air), then ran the engine.

        That bushing/mount is SHOT! Replace Immediately!!!

        Seriously, it is ruined… The engine should just barely move even with a pry bar…

        When you see the replacement, and you remove the old one, it will be very obvious how bad it is…

        Wysetech nailed it again! He deserves a ‘Thank you’ for that one…

          Do us a solid and close this out… This is a good topic that others may find useful… Please take a pic of the old one next to the new one when you repair this and post it here…
