Bad immobilizer; final question

Alright guys, I finally figured it out. Downloaded an FSM and the immobilizer is bad. I’m gonna get parts online to save what little cash I have, but I just need to know what to buy. Can I buy just an immobilizer or do I need the lock cylinder and/or ecm too?

If you were not having any starting problems prior to removing the fuse, then I would try a few other ways to reset the immobilzer.

If you do need to replace the immobilizer, you’ll need those items–all from the same vehicle, in order to avoid taking it to the dealer.

Thanks so much! I haven’t read your links yet, but if I understand correctly what you’re saying is I can get a ECM/Immobilizer/Lock cylinder combo and not have to reprogram it as long as all three come from the same car? Does it have to be a 2000 or can it be 1999-2003?
