Where I work we use a lot of Napa parts. Some are good and some are bad. Places like these have first line parts and second line parts.
Some parts are good enough and OEM parts are usually exactly how the manufacturer designed them. Some aftermarket parts are actually better quality than OEM.
I think that it is more of the people that work at the parts stores than the parts themselves. I have had the local store warranty things that technically were not covered but have had mixed results with so called “bigger/better” stores. Given the choice I get cheap stuff for my own things but the best stuff for customers.
If the job was done correctly and the problem that caused the old compressor to fail, if any, was corrected it should last as long as any other brand.
Okay good I know the job was done right I had a mechanic vacuum my line out and put freon in the lines.
For my car I use NAPA parts. AutoZone is all right. I use to always buy my parts from AutoZone and never had an issue. I just prefer NAPA. However if you have a Nissan, never use any aftermarket parts. Nissan is picky with what parts you use so your better off getting OEM parts form the dealer or anywhere else. Or a very good brand of parts such as NAPA.
