      Hi guys,

My suggestion is for a vid on crimps and crimping tools. Finding vid examples on your normal insulated crimps like the red or blue ones is common. But what is a non-insulated double crimp and what is non-insulated single crimps. Ratcheting crimping tool etc. Tips. Currently re-wiring an old car and have some put in place an 8 way connector or two.

Anyways, just a suggestion… Really like ETCG vids. 🙂 Love your work.

That’s an interesting topic. I haven’t really done any videos of that type up to this point. I was thinking about possibly working in tool reviews into the line up but I need to get past the website redesign and the ‘Meet Up’ first. Perhaps I can take another look at this topic after the dust settles from all that.

        Thanks for the suggestion.

First, I dislike those insulated connectors. For 16-20 gauge wire, I just strip about 1″ off each wire, twist them together, at least 2 full turns and cover with at least 3″ of marine heat shrink. I much prefer non-insulated connector (I prefer TE Solistrand covered with marine heat shrink for rings, spades and 14 gauge and larger butt splices.

Ideal Multi-Crimp work well for both insulated and non-insulated connectors. The wire strippers are not so good.
