I’ve been trying to decide which trade to get into. I enjoy them both. I found two threads by auto techs about the “real world” of being an auto tech and found them very interesting:

Interestingly enough, I couldn’t find similar “stories” and “gripes” coming from auto body techs about their stories/gripes on the job. Makes me lean more toward going into auto body.
I understand this is a forum for techs, so I just wanted to get the opinions of those actually wrenching on the daily as their career. What do you think about the posted forums above? Do you have a similar outlook or not?
If there happens to be any bodymen, or friends of bodymen, please feel free to lend me any “real world” advice about making auto body a career.
Thanks!
