im in the same boat on this one. curious to know, what subjects to study and how important trigonometry and geometry are?
Im not sure what to tell you about books and study guides. I personally didnt use any so I wouldnt know what ones to recommend. Im pretty sure if you buy the study guides from ASE they will guarentee you pass the test or you get your money back. I think the details are on the web site. As far as geometry and trig… that wont help you at all, the test is about cars not math.
i borrowed my ase study guides from the public library. Check if your local library has one because they do get expensive…
I took the A1 and passed. It really helped to study even just a little skip the parts you already know…
If you are looking for training guides a company called Motor Age Training has a sale on them (don’t know for how long though).
The discount code for just 1 ASE study guide (A1 to A9) is ABOOKSALE, I think that brings down the individual study guides to $17 + shipping which is a good price.
An even better deal is to just order the whole A1-A9 set and use discount code ASETSALE which brings the original price ($183) down to about $70 for the whole set and includes shipping. That’s a smokin’ deal.
They claim you get your $ back if you don’t pass the test, but I’m sure there’s some rules about that.
