No matter what you do with it wear eye and ear protection.

The “older” vertical style ones are way easier to use. If you take the end off you can propel anything you really want to with it. Which can be especially fun when you work with semi tires and have “lightly modified” the pressure regulator. Even more fun when the shop air is over 125psi. If your ears aren’t ringing the tank wasn’t full.
