2012– 2.4 GM having a repeating misfire on 2, I’m about to try the CRC Valve and Turbo Cleaner. The shop tried a couple things yesterday but I don’t want to give up yet. I’d love to hear if anyone has ever seen a compression reading go up after using this stuff/ Seems to me that if it took X thousand miles to mess up the seating, that it would take a lot longer than a few days and enough treatments to roast a cat or something, to clean the crap off enough to then have the valve reseating properly..
Also…93k miles…likely never been cleaned. I bought it a month ago.

Depends on the RPO code of your 2.4. I think your 2.4 is direct injected which means anything your pour in the tank will never see the backside of the intake valves and their seats. If your engine is an LAF and has DI, then check out Scotty Kilmer’s YouTube video on direct injection and why you should be running a catch can.

Thanks for your ideas and input. I’ve been thinking about catch cn, but wondered if you or anyone has used cRC stuff and had results worth noting,
          thx
