So the 1997 acura CL 3.0 seems to have a bit of a coolant leak.
It is not leaving any on the ground but I can definitely smell it and on cold days there is a good bit of steam coming from the lower radiator.
It doesn’t lose a whole lot of coolant (maybe 1/2 cup every 200 miles), but sometimes it looks like it was splashing on the top of the radiator close to the fill cap. I did replace the cap, no difference. Also coolant collecting in the recesses of the driver side fan shroud.

So anyways, what are the chances the radiator has one (or several) minute leaks? Someone said something about a seal in the lower radiator hose likely to go bad.Is there some common leak point or anything to look for first?

Sounds like the radiator has a leak. Make sure you can confirm where the leak is coming from before you buy parts.
I think I know what thread you got the idea about the leaking lower hose. I wouldn’t put too much stock in that theory.

Radiator, Water pump. It’s probably the radiator. It hasn’t let go fully yet.

Like buod said, sounds like it’s just a bad radiator, but make sure that’s the case before you spend $80 on a new one
