Ok, I don’t own an Aircat Impact, never seen one in use. Never seen, touched or heard one, they are sort of odd to me. I was watching a review online and looked at the specs and notice it doesn’t have a variable speed ? Irs and Snapons and every other one I have owned or used the speed is variable ? I cannot believe that a gun with 700 lbs or torque or whatever they have would even be usable with no variable speed. Maybe can help me out with this one ? So ya hit and it and hope it doesn’t break anything ? Help me out here Aircat users.

They have variable forward speeds in forward, but not reverse. I’ve definitely broken a few big bolts with my 1200K, but I’ve broken an equal amount with a breaker bar. If you’re afraid of breaking a fastener you need to use heat and penetrating fluid. But most of the time if it’s gonna break, it’s just gonna break.

Have you compared power on that gun to IR or Snap-on ? I know the Aircat prices are really good, which makes me question their overall quality, compared to well established guns.

I have a 1″ drive Aircat and it is been good to me so far but to be honest I have only had it 5 years. No issues whatsoever.

According to a few reviews I watched/read online, the 1200K is a hair better than the 2135TiMax statistically. Not that there is anything wrong with a 2135, just thought I’d try something a bit different and several of the people I worked with at the time had the Mac rebrand of the 1200K. I used to work with a few guys that had the MG725 (Snappy 1/2 impact) and as a gun to pull out when you’re having trouble it’s ok. But as an all day everyday, it’s rather heavy and on the loud side. Nevermind the price.

I have an MG725, I like the Red color. I cannot stand the blue rubber and dull gray finish on IR guns – I don’t care if they have twice the power.. I had a Snap-on IM5100 metal handle gun that made the MG725 look small and light.

I’ve had the Aircat 1150 for over a year now. It works great powerful, quiet and light. If you go to their web site and read the specs, the 1200k is more for heavier industrial applications, the 1150 is more suited for automotive work.
