Another “valve adjustment” suggestion

Hi Eric! 🙂

I was just thinking about all the wonderfult repair videos you made, and something came to my mind in the “valve adjustment neighborhood”.

I’ve searched on the tube but I can’t find a good video about adjusting valve clearance on a car that needs the shims replaced to adjust the valve clearange.

This is not completely out of my fantasy, in fact the Citroen BX I’ve just bought has that kind of valve adjustment procedure.

I don’t know how many other vehicles use that method, but I thought it could spark your imagination for a new repair video, of course as soon as a car needing this procedure happens to get under your tender care 🙂

Honestly I HATE doing that type of adjustment which I’ve done on some Toyota engines. I’ll say what I always say with these suggestions and that is in order for me to make that video I would need the same vehicle to come into the shop needing the same service. Should that happen I’d be happy to make that video for you.

Don’t worry, when and if my dear old new BX will need that I’ll be sure to take that occasion to bring her to you in the US!
For that moment I really hope they’ll have perfected the transporter :woohoo:
