Another problem with my Lacrosse.

I just came across another issue with my 09 Buick Lacrosse. When I first got the vehicle the car would blow cold air all day long, but for the past 4 weeks or so I’ve noticed the A/C gradually getting colder. Yesterday a heat wave hit the east coast, and the temperatures here are close to 100, but it feels like atleast 110. My ac is blowing warm/hot air, under load (accelerating) it will get a tiny bit warmer and at a stop light idling it will get a little bit cooler. I made an appointment to have it checked under warranty tomorrow at the same place that fixed my fuel sending unit, but since I never went there for anything before I don’t want the service manager getting pissed and sending me away.

The system maybe low on charge. try checking the fuse
for the ac. Btw I dont think the service manager will be pissed
because you don’t go there. Your a customer with a problem
under warranty.

You could also try spraying cold water on the condenser as the vehicle is running to see if the air feels cooler but besides that, the best method to check for A/C operation is to use a set of A/C manifold gages.

Try placing one hand on the evaporator inlet and one hand on the outlet, they should be approximately the same temp. If the outlet is warmer than you have low refrigerant level. Its kind of a rudimentary way of diagnosing but its surprisingly effective
