Close. How are you planning on Vacuum? Are you going to have the same people who are recovering pull the Vac?

Plan on doing it myself – rent the equipment from Autozone, if not, buy it from HF. Would it be better off leaving the vacuum step to the mechanic?_x000D_

The reason i ask, is because depending on how you were going to do it depends on that step. When you pull the vacuum the oil will come out._x000D_

If you were going to rent a vacuum pump i was going to tell you to make sure it has a gage

Thanks for the heads up, I’ll see what Autozone offers. If it comes down to it, I’ll give it to the mechanic._x000D_

You don’t drain the compressor to see how much oil it takes. The service manual will tell you how much (Auto-Zone should be able tell you which kind of PAG oil and how much to put in)_x000D_

Of course re-reading what you said I see you were asking a different

Hmm, I’m reading the service manual for the car and it says to drain the oil from the compressor to get the base amount then add an additional 20cc (ml). For the o-rings I’m referring to the o-rings found at the service valve/intake for the compressor._x000D_

I don’t think you need to replace the ‘o’ rings, I think the ones you have will work fine but keep in mind it’s an old system and will probably leak in the long term no matter what you do.
