The other day I was about to download an OBDII app when it dawned on me that I would need an OBDII to micro USB cable.
      Haven’t found one yet..

This has got me to thinking:
Does anyone have any experience using their Droid as a scan tool? Is it worth the money to buy the cable? Could a Droid be used effectively in a shop, or at least for doing side jobs?

And where the blazes do you find the right adapter cable to bridge 16 pin OBDII port to Micro USB? How fancy can you get with a FREE app?

Killing 2 birds with 1 forum thread: I suggest ETCG Apps 🙂

You may have to buy a USB cable and a USB to Micro USB adapter cable.

Never used an OBDII app, but my guess is it would just be a code reader.

            Hello,
I have the android torque app with an Ebay obd2 bluetooth code reader, nice because its wireless, I love it, I use it on my own cars. You can watch sensors on their own or put them on a graph. I think u should give it a try. It’s about $20 for the adapter, and a free trial on the torque app.
