I have a Nissan Altima 2013 which was opened for some engine block repair. After taking the engine apart the workshop is telling me that the car has bend in the aluminium head (Photo attached). They are saying its bent too much. However when I gave the car to them there was no issue with the engine neither with the ignition nor any abnormal exhaust gases.
Please look at the attached image and suggest if this amount of warp is in the tolerable limit or not.
Will appreciate your kind help and reply. Thanks

What engine is in this car? Ate the heads cast or aluminum?

Just want to double check that was .15mm of warp.

The engine is 2.5S and the head is aluminium according to the feeler in the image it looks like it is 0.15 mm but the technician tpld 1.5 mm. I want to cross check because i feel they are trying to cheat me.

if it is 1.5mm out, that is 59/1000ths. that would need to be resurfaced. I would think even .15mm ( approx. 6/1000ths) is close, I’m not sure what type of head gasket this has so I’m not sure if the correct head gasket could fix this.

I would want to see the measurement in person. Are they recommending a resurface or a new head? If you are unsure, you could take the head to a machine shop and get a second opinion.
