I have a 1996 Nissan 240sx manual transmission. I have been having a problem for some time now, and im not sure if it’s alternator related? And or battery related, i have spoken to numerous people about it, and all have told me different opinions. First off im drving and when i come to a full complete stop, my idle drops low and the motor shakes slightly as if its gonna die, and the headlights dim and so will my dashboard headlights. And if i sit there it will continue to dim my headlights slightly as well as my rpms fluctuate slightly up and down. I have tested my battery with a mulitmeter and the alternator and both have tested well. I have taken it to a few shops, and they also have connected a tester to test the charging system and everything passes. My battery i have in my vehicle is a Interstae I-24 battery, in which i bought in 6/11/2011. So im not sure whats going on. If anyone could chime in, i would appreciate it.

you either have a battery/charging problem or a vacuum leak or your
          IAC is not working.

How does it act when you first start it? Same issues then? Battery that new should be good. If your car always starts I wouldn’t think the alternator would be the issue since a bad alternator won’t recharge your battery.
