i just replaced my dads alternator because a shop said it was bad but now i checked my new one with a voltimeter ad its still not charging does anyone know if theres any fuse or relay that could be the problem the car is a 90 dodge dynasty i also removed the new alternator and had it tested its fin h

Have you checked continuity between the battery terminal and the back of the alternator(B+)? There is normally not a “fuse” per say, but a “fusible link”, which is in-line to a section from between the alternator and the battery.
Assuming (after you check) that the fusible link is blown you will need to replace that cable or trim off that section of fusible link and replace it with another. You can also just replace the full cable and put a fuse in-line (rated at max rating of the alternator output), or replace the entire cable “assembly”, which is factory positive terminal along with all other branching connections from it (alternator, fuse box, starter). If you replace the alternator cable yourself, make certain it’s the same guage or better (lower number, if 6guage replace with that or 4, or 2, etc). And of course make sure you put a fuse/fusible-link/breaker on it again, in-line close enough to guard against anything that might happen, but far enough away that it isn’t damaged by heat from the engine even with new split loom tubing(or re-using the old).
