Air Ratchet Question

If I feel like using an air ratchet. Do I need to use impact sockets and impact extensions. Please let me know. Thanks

With my 1/4 air ratchet i use chrome sockets. For my 3/8’s i also use chrome sockets.

When using my impact guns, i always use my impact sockets.

Yes. the ingersoll rand hammerhead ( not sure if you would classify it as a ” ratchet ” ) but the shape and design give it more of a ratchet look then a standard impact gun look. also , the eathquake 3/8 drive air ratchet from harbor freight is considered an ” impact ” air ratchet. have not tried one yet but am very impressed with my 1/2 drive earthquake impact gun.

Good question I always wondered that as well. I do use impact sockets but due to the fact that the socket does not take a hammering jolt I’m sure a regular socket can handle any forces without damage.
