It seems to be when installing

start the lug nuts on hand by a couple threads to be sure that they are on straight. use the impact to run the lugs down snug and then use a torque wrench to finish them off

I was also wondering about my impact driver its a craftsman and it has setting on forward and reverse it has the number 1,2,3 what purpose does these different settings serve.

Thanks moparfan I’m gonna get me some of those as soon as I can afford them that’s genius whoever invented those. Thanks for all your guys help

I am very skeptical of the torque sticks having just brought my car home from a tire shop that uses them– when my IR 450 ft/lb impact wouldn’t remove two of the lugs I had to use a three foot cheater bar to get them off.
