I wonder if it is necessary to connect a aftercooler for the air compressor? I have searched around on internet and many people would like to connect a aftercooler to their compressor to remove moisture and many people made it by themselves with some kind of transmission coolers. But I wonder for my air compressor which is 200psi max output. Do I really need it or the water separator (moisture filter) is sufficient to remove moisture? Besides, to my understand that compressed air should be hot. But what I observed that when I drained the compressor after using or used the compressed air to blow my driveway, I don’t feel it hot but cold. Especially when draining the compressor after using, the water drop was icy cold. Any information is welcomed.
