Hey i have an 04 Suzuki Aerio and i need to replace the motor mounts because 2 are cracked and its causing vibrations when the car is at idle. I just wanted to know your opinion on aftermarket motor mounts, specifically Anchor brand. The car has 160,000km on it and just a daily driver.

      Thanks!

its not always like you have too get just the right part or it wont work if its meant for your car usually it should work especially when it comes too engine mounts but too often i find when it comes too parts you get what you pay for, what company has a good reputation, or what company a manufacturer recommends… i mean for example if i where too buy break rotors for my car i would take the $120 set bought from a reputable parts store like Napa or Orellys, over a set of $90 rotors made in china in some sweat shop sold on a website bargain hunting for parts. same thing with a engine mount, i am willing too pay as much as up too $30 or more too ensure that part will bolt into that car and my advice too you is once again, don’t go super cheap you get what you pay for, go through a reputable parts store that people know well and trust, and use a brand of parts either the manufacturer recommends or through a parts company that is reputable and it looks like anchor is sort of reputable but i am not sure i don’t own these vehicles.

it is also important too note that some parts may also have “improved.” variants where the factory part may have failed due too a pattern failure, and is know too fail, so there is something that may be done too that part too make it a improved part, they still may also offer the part that isn’t improved and the part that is improved may cost as much as $30 or even $50 more! for example the sway bars on my car the ones from the factory are hollow, the improved ones are made of solid steel, the hollow ones are know for breaking at the point that mounts too the stabilizer bar link, because it rusts from the inside out. the improved sway bar may cost a bit more, but its a wise choice too buy the more expensive one because its improved.

thats my advice as long winded as it is, maybe someone ells can give you some better advice.
