Just recently started thinking about getting into the automotive industry as an auto tech. Also just recently discovered the ETCG1 youtube channel. Great videos full of knowledge and giving me info to think about but can’t help but think i may need to ask some questions to get a personalized answer to my dilemma.
I currently have a full time job and its an okay job and theres room to move up but also takes time to get some decent live on my own pay. It sounds like that could be possible with the automotive industry as well from watching ETCG1.
I could be an assistant manager of the department that i work for sometime soon from what i hear but i can’t help the fact that i wanna know more about cars and how to fix them and diagnose them and do things for myself on my own cars. I just recently applied for information at a tech school to get an ASE certification and a degree in high performance.
I guess my questions are, is going into high performance gonna get me a better paying position than a bottom line entry level technician? I had more questions but i can’t think of them at the moment
