Watched a video where Eric used water in the intake in a old car that has a carbeurator to clean out some carbon in the engine.

Can I achieve the same affect on my 2006 mazdaa 3 by pouring small anounts of water in my throttle body?

Yes, but it may be better to introduce the water thru a vacuum line like a brake booster hose, typically the MAF is before the throttle body and your engine would not operate correctly and not allow for the introduction of the water. Then there is also the matter if the throttle body is electronic I wouldn’t want to take the risk and get it wet.

Honestly, if your vehicle isn’t burning oil and isn’t running rich all the time, carbon buildup in the combustion chamber is not going to be an issue on a modern ECM-controlled vehicle.

Today’s cleaner-burning and detergent-fortified gasolines, along with today’s high-precision electronic fuel metering pretty much relegate carbon deposits to the automotive history books.

I wouldn’t do this procedure on a modern sensor-festooned vehicle, even if it was a loose smokey mess with carbon deposits. Much better to repair the cause of the deposits. If you remove the deposits using water without actually repairing anything, they’ll just build up again anyway, and you won’t have achieved anything in the long run.

OMG – it almost goes without saying but do NOT ever do this to your Mazda.
