      My ’88 Acura Integra always starts immediately when cold.
      After setting all day in hot sun starts hard or won’t start at all until cooled with hood open.
      Got any ideas?

        I would check the battery terminals as corrosion can build up, and cause interference in warm conditions. I would run a terminal scraper on them or even a simple wire brush.

        Also could be the fuel pump relay, as Honda has issues with their fuel pump relay once it gets hot inside of the vehicle. Honda usually mounts it under the driver kick panel, but not a 100% sure for your vehicle.

        I think someone else could chime in on how to check the fuel pump relay; as relays and I do not get along well. 🙂

          Thanks ironheader;
          I’ll try the tests you mentioned. I never thought of the battery. The relay, I think, is in the engine area.

          Long time ago I had intermittent engine quitting. Turned out to be distributor internal electrical connections were loose.
