I have a 2005 Acura MDX. The temperature guage was reading about a quarter of the way and the heater was blowing out cool air. I replaced the thermostat and using a spill free funnel, and following Eric’s video bled the cooling system. I then drove the vehicle for a 20 min drive, and tried out the heater, and it was working real well. On the ride back home, after the vehicle sat for about 2 hours, I tried the heater again, only to find it blowing out cold air again. I touched both heater hoses, one was hot, the other cold. Could it be more air in the system, because if the heater core was blocked, I wouldn’t of had heat on the first ride, right?
Also the temp gauge only goes up about a quarter of the way the vehicle also has rear heat with separate controls. Would this affect the way I bleed the system?
