Acura 2011 RL lurching forward at times

I have a 2011 Acura RL which started lurching forward at times, with abrupt shifts. When I restart the car, the problem goes away. But may begin again days later. Before this started, there seemed to be a burning smell coming from the engine bay. Any ideas what is wrong?

I don’t believe so.

Turns out the transmission fluid was low from a leak at the right intermediate shaft bearing.

Repair the leak and top it off?

Can someone explain where this bearing is? Is it built into the intermediate shaft? A picture would be helpful. Thank you

I believe this is what you are looking at. Its easier to get a whole new assembly.
