Access to rear washer hose on 2001-06 Ford Escape?

There’s a break in the rear washer hose on my 2003 Ford Escape, so I get fluid running onto the ground behind the right rear wheel from somewhere behind the rear quarter panel. Does anyone know the actual hose routing and how to access it?

I do have the official FSM, but it’s useless – it just says “Locate the hose”. Literally, that’s all there is. No diagrams, nothing.

It’s looking like I may have to remove the rear bumper, which I really don’t want to have to do if I can possibly avoid it.

can you judge wear the hose is from the leak?

The leak is somewhere behind and above the right rear wheel. The fluid runs out of the frame onto the inner edge of the wheelarch and then down the arch to drip onto the ground just behind the wheel. There are no clues as to how I’d access it. It looks like I’d have to pull the rear bumper at least. I can’t even locate the hose anywhere on the frame rail, so I’m presuming it’s running inside the frame rather than attached to the outside of it.
