AC questions 98 cutlass

Hi again all,
98 olds cutlass 122 000 miles

So i just replaced the blower motor in my car after having no air for months, now a new problem has arose, im not supremely confident in my ability to fix this 1 but going to a garage isint an option i can fall back on.

the fan blows plenty of air but when i press the ac button (with the temp nob all the way cold) the ac button on the dash will not stay lit and the air stays coolish but dose not get real cold

ive looked at all the ac fuses i can find and none are bad
Im not completely sure where what parts are and i only see one inlet for the ac system(is that even possible?)

once again i am very novice at auto repair

any help is very much apreciated

Edit- sofar today all my poking around the car im thinking its switch itself that could be bad, to get the dash cover is it just plastic clips that i pull on?

The ac light may not stay on if your low on charge.

ok.. so i stifled insecurities of messing with the ac and pushed on the 1 valve i could find and yep… no pressure.. givin that its 160 bucks for me to get a pump and a guage (and the local ac shop wants 100 to check and fill the system) im taking it to a professional this time.. heres hoping it evaporated? and theres no big leaks
